NSSA History
NSSA (National Security Screening Agency) was formed from the security screening divisions of Hantec Systems, External Quality Management Ltd and Sanctis. At the time NSA was the only organisation in the UK to hold NSI Gold certification for security screening and SSAIB Approval for security screening. The organisation was dedicated entirely to security screening to BS7858 and the associated tasks such as DBS disclosures, personnel credit checks, identity card production etc.
Growth
in 2012 NSSA merged with Veriteq Systems as NSA Group Ltd and now trades as National Screening Agency, a reflection of its expanded remit to offer employment screening services beyond the Security Sector, such as Healthcare, Education and Professional Services.

DBS Umbrella Body
Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Umbrella Body
NSA Group acts as an intermediary between the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and other organizations or employers. The Disclosure and Barring Service is a UK government agency that provides criminal record checks and helps employers make safer recruitment decisions by identifying individuals who may pose a risk to vulnerable groups.
